Do we mean that women face health problems more serious than men do? Or do we mean that women are usually healthier than their husbands, boyfriends, brothers, and fathers?

woman healthI believe that many women have never thought about gender differences in health. However, it is an extremely interesting topic, especially for ladies who monitor their boyfriends and husbands’ health. Do you want to know what health problems your men are facing? Then read our today’s blog!

Today, we have decided to refer to an official document. We really want to make this discussion of men’s and women’s health more compelling. This is why the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will help us in this. We will see how the health indicators of men differ from those of women. Let’s start with access to care. First, we should say that different people use our health care system for various reasons. Some people want to treat their illnesses, while others seek effective preventive services. Many women and men also go to a health care professional, in order to obtain more information about their health. It is interesting to note, that the number of women who have health care insurance is higher than the number of insured men. Is it that women are more responsible in terms of their health? We have no answer to this question, but it is clear that women are more likely to go to a physician in case of any health problems, than men who prefer waiting until they can no longer tolerate their pain. Most probably, men think that going to a physician every time they feel bad breaks their MALE image, but we women would be much grateful to our men, if they were more attentive to their own health.

Unlike men, women are more likely to have a constant source of ongoing care. In other words, women prefer to have one physician over years, since they value stability and relationships. We, ladies, need to know there is a person we can trust, when we have health problems. Unfortunately, even when we have a good trusting relationship with our physicians, we are not secured from many risks. Official documents claim that we, women, more than men are vulnerable to the risks of obesity. Isn’t it that we spend most of our time monitoring our nutrition, running in a gym, and walking with our dogs? And still fat??? Yet, we cannot beat the statistics. Statistical data say that women are more likely to be obese and less likely to participate in physical activity exercises.

As a result, even if we go to our physician more frequently than our male partners, we may not be healthier than our men. It is time to turn our heads to our day-to-day activities and see what we do wrong. We ourselves are the best health guarantee. Ten more minutes of walk and twenty less minutes of watching TV can play a huge role in how we feel! Let’s beat the statistics, girls!
