A good actress is that who becomes a unity with her character. Imagine yourself in a situation your character is facing. Imagine that you are the character facing this situation. Forget about your own emotions and share your character’s emotions with the audience. Transform yourself and express what you believe that character wanted to say!
Do not expect to be accepted for your talent the first time you see a producer. Even the most outstanding actresses had to pass all stages of isolation and rejection, before they became famous. Thus, the best thing you can do is to develop enough determination and preparedness to face criticism. You are yourself, and you do not have to transform yourself to the extent, when you no longer look natural. Set the boundaries of what you are willing and not willing to do, in order to become an actress. For example, say NO every time you are offered to play in a naked scene. Even if it means losing a prospective offer, do not sacrifice your personality for the sake of cheap fame. Your time will come, and you will enjoy your position. Have more tolerance and patience, as you are climbing the mountain!
