Any woman who wants to look hilarious will say: eating after 6 is against nature! Those who simply want to keep their weight normal eat everything they want during the day and stop eating after 6 pm.

women eatingThose who want to lose weight develop a strict commitment to diets and do not eat after 6 pm, but can you say why exactly you do not eat after 6? Is there any scientific explanation to this problem? Do you understand what happens to our organism in the evening and why eating after 6 pm is strictly forbidden? Let’s try to look at the problem from a scientific angle.

First, there is a common belief that it is better to eat a lot in the morning and not eat anything at night. Women believe that eating after 6 pm interferes with their normal weight, and they are ready to torture themselves with hunger rather than eat at least a small piece of some vegetable. All these beliefs actually imply that the calories and carbs you get from the food become more dangerous during the night than they are during the day. Does it sound valid? I don’t think so. As of today, there is no scientific evidence to conclude that eating at night is more dangerous for your health or weight than eating during the day. These things have a lot to do with what scientists call “calorie intake”. But let’s forget about complex and boring words. Let’s get back to our realities.

The myth of eating late at night is borrowed from the studies where individuals who enjoyed eating during the night also had a higher BMI. Yet, you should not also forget that the mere fact of night eating cannot be responsible for the higher BMI. Most probably, these individuals consume more calories than they spend during their day. Unfortunately, most studies avoid or intentionally omit this information, and we are left to guess what really happens to us, while we are eating at night.

In this situation, the best we can do is to turn our heads to the so-called controlled studies, where the amount of calories women and men consume during their day is monitored and controlled. Most controlled studies do not confirm the danger of night eating. If the amount of calories you consume is equal to the amount of calories you spend, then it does not really matter when you consume them, in the morning or in the evening. Listen to your organism and forget about the most common nutrition myths. Look at yourself and finally realize how beautiful you are. Do not try to keep your organism away from food, simply because it is 6:01 pm! Just make sure that everything in your diet is balanced and you get all vitamins and nutrients for normal functioning.

To be a lady means to be wise and reasonable. So, what you need is to stop and think: do you really want to eat? And what exactly do you want to eat? If the hunger is real, and you only need a piece of apple and an orange to feel satisfied, you won’t have to look at the clock, looking for a solution!
